Non-rechargeable batteries contain alkaline, lithium, mercury and other hazardous materials. They cannot be reused and must be disposed of after use. A better choice is rechargeable batteries made of nickel-cadmium. Not only do they reduce the amount of waste because they can be reused, but it also saves you money. Batteries can be expensive and by simply recharging them, you can reuse them over and over without the hassle of going out and spending more money on new batteries. What is a Desktop Battery Bin?
