What is Spot-A-Mug?
You can receive a free fountain soda or coffee refill coupon at the Coffeehouse, Silo, and MedSci Café if you are seen by an R4 Staff member using any reusable mug!

Why should I use a reusable mug?
Not only are you practicing one of the four R’s: reuse, you are also promoting the environmental sustainability here at UC Davis. By using, reusable mugs versus beverage containers, there is a significant reduction in your waste stream.

Where can I get a mug?
R4 orders their own mugs, which are made of recycled materials. Remember, if you’re planning to purchase a mug, think rebuy! Buy recycled content materials, including your mug! Check out this website where you can personalize your own mug and promote rebuy!

Why was the Spot-A-Mug program started?
The Spot-A-Mug program was created to promote reuse. With the rate of consumption among Americans gradually increasing, the waste stream produced by disposable product has been a continual and growing concern. A large amount of the waste stream on campus is composed of unrecyclable beverage containers, which results in them being thrown into the universtiy landfill. Using reusable mugs cuts back on a significant amount of waste created daily.

Working with Reprographics, Sodexho Dining Services, and the Coffeehouse, R4 has continued to re-establish this program.
