Sports Recycling Program: Clean & Green

Did you know that thousands of fans attend UC Davis home sports events every year?
...and that tons of trash are produced at every event?

  • The R4 Recycling Program has instituted the Sports Recycling Program in an effort to reduce the environmental impact of sports events
  • Works with the Aggie Pack and the UC Davis Athletic Department to provide quality recycling operations
  • Come by the R4 table to learn about recycling, play games, and bring in your recycling to win prizes!
  • The Kids Redemption Value program allows children of all ages to bring bottles and cans to the R4 table to exchange for environmentally-friendly prizes.

The recycling participants that helped to recycle at the 2006 UC Davis Football Games did not have their efforts put to waste because this school year so far, R4 Recycling has already helped to recycle sixty carts full of bottles (approximately 9000 bottles) from all of the sporting events that R4 has attended.
