Having to deal with toner cartridges or inkjets can waste a lot of time, and become a big mess. Finding somewhere to recycle toner cartridges or inkjets can also be time consuming. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem. Xerox designed a solid ink printer that requires no toner cartridges or inkjets. The printer uses small cubes of solid ink that does not require large amounts of packaging materials. The printer uses the entire block of ink, leaving no cartridge to be disposed of. This makes solid ink technology an innovative waste reduction design.
