About This Program

UC Davis is partnering with Fisher Scientific and Waste Management to offer a new pipette tip box and insert recycling program. Participating is easy! Simply collect your recyclable pipette tip boxes in a specialized receptacle that you can request through the work order desk, 752-1655. R4 staff will deliver your new receptacle and will pick up full receptacles after a work order has been placed. Your new receptable's dimensions will be 18in X 18in X 36in.

Post Consumer Use

The empty pipet tip boxes and inserts will be recycled into composite lumber for planters, swing sets, decks and more!

To ensure that your plastic is recycled properly, we support the NEW! The reload configuration reduces packaging waste.The box and insert are imprinted with a #5 recycle symbol.The #5 Plastic (polypropylene) is fully recyclable.

	Customers can call the workorder desk, 752-1655, to request a new receptacle (box) or a pick up. The boxes are to be recycled into composite lumber.
	ONLY #5 pipette tip boxes (and inserts) are acceptable, please do not place other types of plastics in your Pipette tip box plastics receptacle.
