Alcohol Can Recycling
Recycling in the labs
Metal alcohol cans used in labs are recyclable.
Metal alcohol cans used in many labs are recyclable here at UC Davis.
To recycle these, please make sure the can is empty of all alcohol. You can either clean and rinse the can out or let all the alcohol droplets evaporate. Then place them in your cans and bottles recycling bin when you are sure the can is empty of all alcohol.

Note: Recycling in Labs is still a work in progress. If you work in a lab and would like to make a suggestion to an item's recyclability we should include, or have any questions, please call us at 752-7456.
